"Mom!" I gagged, writhing and clawing at the fabric. To my horror, the blanket turned on me! I let out a worried groan as the blanket wrapped itself around my throat. I cried out, scrambling to hide under my blanket as its spiderwebbing tendrils tugged at my feet. Meanwhile, a pitch-black, tar-like substance sloshed and rolled out of the doorway. How stupid! My legs had left the safety of the blanket! Red serpent eyes appeared, floating over me menacingly. A shapeless mass slithered from corner to corner. I saw no one enter, but I felt something move in the shadows. Just a stone throw away, I could barely hear her unintelligible voice in the next room. Somehow she always knew how to make everything better. A faux innocence, when truthfully, I was weak. "M-Mom?" I beckoned fearfully into the dark. Something was there that wasn't supposed to be. There was something wrong about my childhood bedroom. I pulled the edge of my blanket closer, careful not to expose my feet. I wanted to reach up to close it, but my instincts told me I would not get my arm back if I tried. Somehow the window overhead had opened itself. It cloaked my bedroom in a shapeshifting shroud. "You cannot stop the future, just as you can't stop falling rain from reaching the ground."ĭarkness pervaded my view. Please carefully consider the above elements before reading Fallout Mobius.
